CAST OF CHARACTERS:
The 2018 Conejo Improv Players will be made up of a cast of beginning and advanced improv players. All players will perform in all shows, so no performance conflicts will be accepted. Bonus points will be given if you can improv-sing.
REHEARSALS:
Rehearsals will be Saturday mornings in Thousand Oaks or Moorpark, 2-3 per month depending on scheduling, from 9 to 11 a.m. — additional rehearsals may be added as schedule permits. Please bring all conflicts with you to auditions.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
Auditioners should be at least 16 years old, and anyone under 18 will need parental consent to participate. All ages and skill levels are welcome and encouraged to audition! Please wear comfortable attire, as all auditioners will be active during the audition. Audition consists of improv exercises. If you are able to improv-sing or freestyle rap, please plan on doing so. All those auditioning are encouraged to provide a résumé of their onstage experience when registering for auditions. Please bring a list of all potential conflicts including travel, etc. No appointment necessary. “Open call” auditions; there is no pay.
PLOT SUMMARY:
The Conejo Improv Players presents a hilarious night of improvisational comedy featuring skits, scenes, and music — made up entirely on the spot from audience suggestions. Enjoy an evening of interactive comedy that blends the comedic stylings of Whose Line Is It Anyway? and Saturday Night Live in a hilarious show you won’t want to miss!
