FINDING DAVID – need actors for table read
Location: Los Angeles
I am a writer / director / producer, I have a script that I want to start making the rounds with. I need to make the dialog crisper and nothing is better than a good table read for me to hear what works and what doesn’t. I don’t want to use family and friends. I want people who can put a little more into it. And I love an opinionated actor who will say ‘This line isn’t working’
FINDING DAVID – Two lovers who met in Florence 30 years ago, run into each other again and spend another romantic day walking around the city.
Joseph – African American 49
Alyssa – White 55
Joseph – African American 19 . (yes same characters 30 years earlier)
Alyssa – White 25
Two actors to pick up bit lines here and there.
NARRATOR – To read all else
I do not have time or venue yet. It could be as simple as a room at the library or a local college. I would love to do it somewhere where there could be a small audience of opinionated and critical people. I can offer some small reimbursement for the players and will of course get some good food the day of the performance.
While I list character ethnicities, it is not a requirement for a table read.
