Audition for Bricolage’s Immersive Work

Bricolage Production Company is holding Non-Equity general auditions for upcoming immersive theater opportunities. We’re looking for creative, compassionate, and adventurous performers interested in being considered for new experience-based projects currently in development. Who Should Audition:
Performance-based artists who possess skills in improvisation, communication (multi-lingual, ASL, heightened text, dialects, poets, musicians), and movement. Experience with immersive or devised theater, new play development, and avant-garde performance styles a plus, but not necessary. Bricolage is interested in artists with presence, confidence, style, and generosity. Applicants must be hard-working, teachable, risk-taking collaborators.
About the Audition:
This is a group improvisation-based audition process. Be prepared to play, create characters, endow objects/environments, cold-read text, and work in collaboration. If you play an instrument, bring it. If you sing, bring something to share a cappella. If you have a unique skill, show us. If you speak multiple languages, gibberish, or in tongues, get ready.
Auditions are open to performers of every race, age, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, ability, and background.
Auditions will be held in one hour shifts with groups of 6 auditioners (be prepared to stay for up to one hour). Time slots begin on the hour. To be assigned an audition time slot please email Amy at production@webbricolage.org with your headshot, resume, and phone number.
