RABBIT HOLE AUDITIONS

On March 4th, and March 11th,Evening Star Productions will be casting for a production of Rabbit Hole.
The auditions will take place between the hours of 2:00 PM-5:00 PM in the BB&T Room, at Spirit Square in Uptown Charlotte (345 North College Street, Charlotte, NC, 28202)
ON SUNDAY, MARCH 4TH, WE WILL BE CASTING THE FOLLOWING ROLES:
BECCA: (late 20’s to early 30’s), Becca is a polished, put together lady, or at least that’s what she tries hard to project. She prides herself on her ability to run her household; to be a good wife, and mother. But with the recent tragic death of her Son, those things are slowly starting to come apart at the seams. Throughout the show, Becca struggles to reclaim her identity, and fully mourn the loss of her Son. *
Becca is a very strong-willed person. She holds steadfast to her opinions and convictions, which sometimes alienates others, but she is a good person. She feels deeply, and is not used to having to find her way. But she will.
JASON: (17 years old), Jason is the young man who is responsible for Becca and Howie’s Son’s death. He is doing the best he can at his age to work through the grief and make amends. HE IS NOT A BAD, OR EVEN IRRESPONSIBLE KID. He has great character, and is shaping up to be a fine young man, he just happened to be at the wrong place, at the wrong time.
*Actress, who auditions for Becca may be called back on March 11th, to audition for another Female Principal Role and/or to read, with other Actresses. Please keep this date open, we will notify you no later than March 6th if we need you to return for callbacks. Thank You for your consideration in this matter.
ON, SUNDAY, MARCH 11th, WE WILL BE LOOKING TO CAST THE FOLLOWING ROLES:
IZZY- (Mid 20’s, to early 30’s), Becca’s little sister. She is a free spirit, who is finding her way in life. Her recent pregnancy makes things a bit awkward, as Becca and her husband continue to mourn the death of their Son. Like her sister, she has no problem voicing her opinions, and can be a bit of a smart ass. This makes her a much needed comedic relief character, but not in a way that is disrespectful. Balance is important with this character. Requires someone with great delivery. +
NAT- (Late 50’s to Early 60’s), Becca and Izzy’s Mother. Like her Daughter’s, she is opinionated and not shy about it, but also seems to have less of a filter when it comes to speaking her mind. She often doesn’t know until it’s too late that she “stepped in it”, but she means well, and only wants the best for her children. Her dynamic with her daughters is a familiar one to most. She tries to balance out letting Becca grieve for her Son, and helping her to heal, and go on with her life. +
+ For this particular project, the casting of Becca will affect the casting of Izzy, and Nat. You will be notified via email, after March 4th if we would like to see you on the March 11th audition. Please keep March 11th open until March 6th. Thank You for you consideration on this matter.
SPECIAL NOTES: We are operating under a community theater business plan at the moment. ALL ROLES ARE UNPAID.
Also, because we cannot provide reimbursement for travel or lodging, we suggest that actors and actress be no further than 30 minutes of travel outside of Uptown.
Also, because we are a small company, with a limited budget; ALL company members (included cast) will be expected to show up on work calls on Saturday’s from 9-5 PM (currently there are three scheduled in April, but time and dates are subject to change.)
