SEEKING LEAD ROLES FOR “COUNTRYMEN”, A SHORT FILM PRODUCED BY UNIVERSITY OF THE ARTS LONDON
COUNTRYMEN is a drama about two Russian spies in 1950s London, with the mission to assassinate the queen in the days leading up to her coronation. The film is currently casting for the lead roles of IRINA and VIKTOR.
SEEKING ACTORS FOR:
Character: Irina
A Russian agent, living in London and married to her husband TREVOR. This is her last mission, before her chance to escape from the government and settle in a quiet english village under the identity of HEATHER.
ACTOR MUST BE CAUCASIAN, WITH PLAYING- AGE MID 30’S. ATHLETIC BUILT. EASTERN- EUROPEAN FEATURES AND ABILITY TO SPEAK RUSSIAN/REPLICATE A RUSSIAN ACCENT PREFERABLE.
Character: Viktor
A Russian agent, whose identity has been compromised. This is his chance to escape from the British authorities and return home to his wife and kids back in Russia undetected.
ACTOR MUST BE CAUCASIAN, WITH PLAYING- AGE MID 40’S. ATHLETIC BUILT. EASTERN- EUROPEAN FEATURES AND ABILITY TO SPEAK RUSSIAN/REPLICATE A RUSSIAN ACCENT PREFERABLE.
AUDITIONS will be held on February 8th and 9th, in central London, from 11am – 5pm on both days. Rehearsals will be 3 days between the 13th and 19th, and the shoot date will be on February 20th.
Please note that the film will be exhibited non commercially, and the role is experience only. Refreshments will be provided on set, and actors will be given the opportunity to receive complimentary headshots, alongside a final edit of the film for personal use.
