Korean Musical in Fresno!

Central Valley parents! Does your child love to sing and dance? Does your child love to be on stage? Do your Fresno kids adore KPOP? Here is an amazing opportunity for them to attend a FREE Korean Theater Training Boot Camp (for children 10 – 16 years of age). Child actors and actresses and theater coaches from Korea will be arriving soon to help put on a great musical for local Fresno & Clovis Veterans. This is the first time children from the Fresno area and Korea will be performing on the same stage! (PLEASE NOTE: The performance in entirely in English, knowledge of the Korean language is not needed!)
Details:
1. Please email (with your parents permission!) a video. The video must consist of the child introducing his or her name, age, and grade. Please follow with 30-60 seconds of singing, a short dance routine (Kpop is absolutely acceptable!), and a monologue. Please upload your video as a private video onto Youtube.
2. Email your video link and a brief introduction (child’s name, age, height, and hobbies) to: theaterseoul@smusical.com.
3. Those accepted for a live audition will be notified by email by January 18th, 2019. Due to time restraints we are unable to respond to each and every submission but are grateful for your interest.
4. Live auditions will be on January 19th, 2019, exact details will be sent to accepted applicants and the cast announcement will follow shortly after.
5. Our first rehearsal is on January 20th!
6. Show times are February 15th at 9am & 7pm and February 16th at 2pm. Our show venue is Clovis Veteran’s Memorial District Theater, 808 4th St. in Clovis.
Our musical is a traditional Korean folktale entitled “Princess & Ondal.” The musical is in English, however, the children chosen in Fresno to perform may have the opportunity to travel to Korea in 2020! It is a very unusual and special opportunity for Fresno children.
Theater Seoul is grateful for all the local veterans who served bravely during the Korean War and is honored to donate proceeds from this performance to the Central Valley Honor Flight, a charity stationed in the Clovis Memorial District.
