21 to 60 years old, Hispanic male. Must be bilingual / able to speak Spanish. Two male Hispanic day laborers enter a restaurant for lunch, and speak to each other in Spanish. Once the white waitress hears this, she doesn’t seat or serve them, saying she doesn’t feel comfortable serving “illegals” and this is why there needs to be a wall. The men are hurt and embarrassed as they’re forced to leave. Must be available for in-person audition on March 19 and be available to shoot 1 or 2 days during April 1-10.

UNCOMFORTABLE WAITRESS
20 to 65 years old, Caucasian female. She immediately feels unsafe around the Hispanic customers, and doesn’t like that they’re speaking Spanish instead of English. She assumes they’re “illegals,” and stands her ground, saying she just doesn’t feel comfortable and that they should leave before she calls the cops. Needs to be a fearless actress. Must be available for in-person audition on March 19 and be available to shoot 2 or 3 days during April 1-10.

SPONSOR PARENT
30 to 50 years old, Caucasian female. She is a kindhearted, supportive mom who is sponsoring an undocumented immigrant child through the immigration process while he/she is separated from their family. She doesn’t think this is wrong at all, and is happy to help and provide for the lonely child. When a stranger tells her she’s doing the wrong thing for America, she is shocked and upset by this, not sure what to say. Must be available for in-person audition on March 19 and be available to shoot 1 or 2 days during April 1-10.

MEXICAN CHILD
6 to 10 years old, Hispanic male or female. A boy or girl who is scared and alone, separated from his/her family. Needs to be expressive with eyes, as this role doesn’t have many lines. Must be available for in-person audition on March 19 and be available to shoot 1 or 2 days during April 1-10.

ANGRY CUSTOMER
25 to 65 years old, Caucasian male. A stranger who, upon seeing a white woman sponsoring a Mexican child, can’t hold back his thoughts. He accuses the woman of helping “illegals” enter the US and take over, and calls all Mexicans criminals. He doesn’t care if it’s temporary, he doesn’t want to see this happening. Needs to be fearless, but not intimidating/scary. Must be available for in-person audition on March 19 and be available to shoot 2 or 3 days during April 1-10.

BIKE RIDER
20 to 55 years old, Caucasian male. Must be OK with bike stunt (falling down) and with some minor special effects make-up (wound on the leg or arm). Stunt experience preferred (please leave a note if you have experience). When he falls, he’s in pain and needs a minute before getting back up. When the guy recording him gets in his face, he’s upset and embarrassed, trying to hold onto his dignity. This actor may also need to play the Money Dropper role, so please be ready to audition for that scenario as well. Must be available for in-person audition on March 19 and be available to shoot 1 or 2 days during April 1-10.

SELFIE ADDICT
18 to 35 years old, Caucasian male. He’s self-centered, narcissistic, and obsessed with social media and his phone. When he sees the bike rider fall, he immediately starts recording it and makes a selfie report about the “hilarious” moment. He doesn’t care to help the biker, but instead cares about how many people are watching and liking his live story. Ignores the biker asking for help. This actor may also need to play the Heckler role, so please be ready to audition for that scenario as well. Must be available for in-person audition on March 19 and be available to shoot 1 or 2 days during April 1-10.

20 to 55 years old, all ethnicities, male. Must be OK with stunt (tripping & falling down). Stunt or physical acting experience preferred (please leave a note if you have experience). When he falls, he drops his cash and the bills go flying. He’s not in a major amount of pain but is disoriented and trying to find all of his bills. This actor may also need to play the Bike Rider role, so please be ready to audition for that scenario as well. Must be available for in-person audition on March 19 and be available to shoot 1 or 2 days during April 1-10.

MONEY GRABBER
18 to 55 years old, Caucasian female. When she sees the man trip and fall, her eyes go right to his cash in the air. She’s quick to get up, not to help him, but to grab some bills, and tell strangers to grabs some bills too. She’s fearless and unashamed. This actress can bring a little comedy to this role. Must be available for in-person audition on March 19 and be available to shoot 1 or 2 days during April 1-10.

CURIOUS TOURISTS
20 to 60 years old, all ethnicities male or female. A male and female couple are touring New Mexico and very interested in learning about aliens and UFO sightings. They’re educated, normal people – not goofy or obnoxious – and are open to the idea that extraterrestrial life exists. When their waitress totally disagrees with them and pokes fun at their open-mindedness, they’re a little embarrassed and want to explain their points. These actors may also be asked to play the Addicted Mother & Worried Father role, depending on age and race, so please be ready to audition for that scenario as well. Must be available for in-person audition on March 19 and be available to shoot 1 to 3 days during April 1-10.

SKEPTICAL WAITRESS
25 to 60 years old, Hispanic or Caucasian, or Ethnically Ambiguous female. She’s used to tourists coming through, so this couple who is excitedly talking about aliens makes her roll her eyes. She’s not mean or a bully, but these people and their beliefs in extraterrestrial life make her laugh. She’s happy to disprove their theories and make them “come back to reality,” and isn’t afraid to take a poll of what other people think at the restaurant. She’s not disrespectful but she’s not changing her point of view. Must be available for in-person audition on March 19 and be available to shoot 2 or 3 days during April 1-10.

ADDICTED MOTHER
35 to 55 years old, Caucasian female. Ability to cry on cue a MAJOR plus. She has a back problem, and, like many people, has become addicted to opioids. It’s gotten so bad that she takes a few pills a day, right in front of her husband and son. They’re very worried about her, and try to take her pill bottle away, which makes her angry and defensive. She breaks down in tears and embarrassment when they say they don’t like her like this and she needs help. Must be available for in-person audition on March 19 and be available to shoot 1 to 3 days during April 1-10.

WORRIED FATHER
35 to 55 years old, Caucasian male. Ability to cry on cue a plus. He and his teenage son are very worried about his wife, who has become addicted to opioids/painkillers for her bad back. Her mood swings confuse him, and she’s not herself anymore. He tries to have a nice lunch with his family, which turns into an intervention, and is upset to see the love of his life falling apart.
