The Contemporary American Theater Festival seeks actors for the 2020 Festival Season.

Maya Franklin in Whitelisted: a black pre-teen girl, Yvette’s daughter; she suffers from asthma.

Madeline in The House of the Negro Insane. African American Female, 10-12 years old. She wears an eye patch over her right eye. Suffers from seizures (would be diagnosed with epilepsy today). She grew up sheltered, lonely, and disconnected from other children, and wants to find friendship and affection. Her youthful spirit draws Attius and Effie to protect her; together they forge an unlikely family. This role requires stage combat skills.

Actors should prepare a 1-2 minute monologue from a play that was written in the past ten years. Please bring a headshot and resume.
