Synopsis:
Felicity is a supernatural drama mystery about a young man (Landon) who must discover and overcome personal conflicts invading his life in order to move forward. This film explores the notions of how one small detail can redefine an entire future.

Roles:

[Landon] [White Caucasian][Male][Ages: 26-31]
Landon is the titular character of the film. Landon carries the heavy burden of guilt for the death of his wife. Landon hides the pain really well though, by displaying a calm and collected personality. Landon is recovering from a car accident, he is reserved around strangers, but outgoing with family. Landon is considerate and respectful, thus enabling him to change the subject if delicate conversations arise.

[Madison] [White Caucasian Female][Ages: 27-33]
Madison is sweet, kind, cheerful and caring. She is the glue that keeps the family together and always likes to keep the peace. Madison values family and worries extensively about her brothers, Landon and Brayden of their well being and their choices. She is essentially the cautious mother type persona despite not having children of her own. Even though she has a kind hearted personality, Madison will take matters into her own hands if pushed to the limit.

Brayden is an athletic, good looking model down on his luck, this is due to his own selfishness and inconsiderate behavior. Brayden has been spoiled since he was a kid and believes that the world revolves around him. He takes advantage of other’s generosity and ends up burning bridges because of it. Even though he gives off this tough guy appeal, Brayden is scared of life altering experiences and cowards down due to never having to experience them in his upbringing.

Actors in Northridge / Los Angeles Area for Student Film

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Type: Student Films

This short film will be a 5 min short, based on a Veteran who wakes up after having a suicidal nightmare. They realize it’s the anniversary of their friend’s death (who was also a veteran) and decide to revisit their grave. However, this takes a big toll on him, making him feel numb/built with anxiety. It isn’t until he meets an old man at the park that wakes up the veteran in a positive manner.

Roles:

[“the old man”] [Male] [Ages: 35-40]

After revisiting the grave of a dead friend/veteran, the Veteran (the protagonist) is having a rough time and begins to ignore the people around them. Small things like others arguing trigger their anxiety. However, as they take a walk to the park they are confronted by an old man feeding the ducks. The old man notices the veteran and asks if he’s okay. He’s considerate and respectful.

We will need two actors for this scene.
The couple will be having an argument outside a liquor

[OLIVIA DENTON] 20’s, all ethnicities. Olivia is an anxious girl who, after keeping up a positive and happy front for years, is now on the brink of breaking down. The suffering of the world makes her feel hopeless and suffocated. The only thing that is able to save her from herself is her compassion for others.

[COOPER WALSH] 20’s, all ethnicities. Cooper, a former high-school athlete, is struggling to claw his way out of his depression. He battles internally with his feelings of despair and the false idea that, because he is a man, he has to be tough and not show his feelings. He learns from a friend that it is okay to be vulnerable and rely on others.

[DAN] 30-50 years old. All ethnicities. Dan is a cheerful, sympathetic and soft-spoken therapist who meets with a group every week in an attempt to help them work through their problems with depression and anxiety.
