TITLE: Summer Reign (working title)
DESCRIPTION: After another day of losing to his neighbors during their daily summer activities (sudoku, paper airplanes, and British theatre), Eli seeks help from his recluse older brother in the form of a mysterious homemade concoction, upending the dynamics of the friend group.
SHOOTING DATES: April 2nd – April 6th / Austin, TX. Rehearsals TBD.
LEAD ROLES:
Eli: (Male, open ethnicity, ages 9-13)
Eli is timid, shy, and down on his luck. Sick of losing to his friends, he drinks a mysterious concoction and finds his courage.
Roanan: (Male, open ethnicity, ages 9-13)
Roanan is the alpha of the group. He wins at sudoku, throws his paper airplane the furthest, and gets to be the all-powerful king during their British play. Until it all comes crashing down.
Margot: (Female, open ethnicity, ages 9-13)
Margot is wacky, witty, and fun-loving. Even though her friends take everything so seriously, she sees the activities for what they are — just some fun games.
Jackson: (Male, open ethnicity, ages 18-24)
Eli’s mysterious older brother. An obsessive painter with an extreme case of creative block. He gives Eli a “magic potion.” But what is it, really? What are his true intentions?
NOTES:
***All roles are paid.*** ($40/day for leads. Meals included.)
We will be following UT’s RTF COVID-19 safety protocols.
Eli, Roanan, and Margot should be able to do a British accent. (Doesn’t have to be perfect!)
