Location: Santa Ana, CA
We are shooting a sequel to an award-winning indie mockumentary comedy, “The Show Can’t Go On!” which is about to be released. Trailer is available at www.scgomovie.com. (strong language). This sequel takes place in two indoor theater spaces and two restaurants. We are looking for the following: People who are great improv players who come across as “real” people, who are great team players and for the following roles. The actors are needed for a shoot all day Sunday, November 7. There also will be rehearsals (TBA) for some of the actors/roles below:
1. Two theater concession workers
2. One Small Café waiter
3. One Upscale restaurant waiter
4. Four performance award winners – to play actors 25 to 80 years of age
5. Live theater worker
6. Female photographer
7. Theater office workers
8. Theater audience members (40 parts for backgrounders)
9. Three inquisitive attendees for performance seminar)
This is the third movie project for Ree-invent Films (website under construction presently).
Film prior to “The Show Can’t Go On!” “We’ve Got Balls,” was also an award winners. Together, these two films have received 23 indie film festival nominations and 16 wins. The producer is a founding member of the L.A. Groundlings and founder/artistic director of the 30 year old Orange County Crazies, a sketch, improv and standup comedy organization based in Santa Ana. Ree-invent Films projects’ cast and crew are mostly volunteers.
