I am casting for a short film titled “Coros”, a modern retelling of the War of the Worlds. We’re looking for actors of any ethnicity, and (except for one role) gender.
We’d like actors with dynamic, interesting faces and an unpolished look. A voice that can capture our attention is also important. We’ve identified age ranges for some characters as guides, but if you think you’d be right for the role, don’t let that deter you from submitting. We’ll be shooting on film which means less takes, so we’d like someone who can work within those constraints. Most importantly, we want someone who can take direction well and is willing to collaborate in making the character come to life.
You’ll be provided with a small honorarium for your work.

A veteran radio host, the epidomy of professionalism and poise. Her relationship with her audience is
sacred, and she’ll do anything for her listeners.
Lennox (Any gender, older)
Wild-eyed conspiracy theorist, convinced in the existence of aliens. His brusque demeanor hides
technical know-how.
Dr. Estelle (Any gender, older)
Professor of Astrophysics, prim and proper in demeanor with not a hair out of place. Disbelieves
anything that hasn’t been proven.
Gale (Any gender, older) – Voice Only
Caller that recounts traumatic events to radio host.
Prime Minister (Any gender, older) – Voice Only
Politian, reading off a prepared speech.
Announcer (Any gender, older) – Voice Only
Dynamic “made for radio” voice.
Alex (any gender, any age) – Voice Only
Caller that recounts traumatic events to radio host.
