LOGLINE
A man attempts to make sense of what’s going on when he finds himself in a mysterious and deserted city.
SYNOPSIS
A dumbfounded JJ wakes up in his car. As he explores his surroundings he begins to notice that there isn’t anyone around. He walks past empty streets, roads, houses, hotels… all empty. As he is wandering, he finds himself in a parking lot where a shadowy figure leads him to a surrealist birthday dinner with his ex-girlfriend. Leaving the encounter even more confused than before, JJ passes out. When he wakes up, he finds himself on a different street where he is drawn to a beacon of light, and where he will find his answer.
CHARACTERS
J.J.
(Mid to late 20’s, male identifying, open race/ethnicity)
Very susceptible and easy to control, JJ has an inability to be accountable for his actions, demonstrating a lack of responsibility, letting things pile up and putting things off for the next day. He cannot forgive himself, believing that he deserves reproach or punishment.
(Mid to late 20’s, female identifying, open race/ethnicity)
EDEN
The ex-girlfriend. A mysterious yet commanding figure, she knows the predicament JJ is in but doesn’t help. Out for revenge, she torments JJ ad infinitum.
