Roles

Guadalupe (Lead) – Mexican Ethnicity
–determined but afraid; an Afro-Mexican Female, 20’s, 30s. Her tongue is of Mexican Spanish dialect. She is pregnant throughout the duration of the film. She walks miles and miles through grasslands and lakes towards freedom.

Cervantes (Supporting) – Mexican Ethnicity
–mexican male, 40’s, who once saved a lady from being killed during her migration out of the country. His main task is to help his sister Guadulupe migrate successfully out of the country. Cervantes is a planner, a director, a helper.

Maria (Supporting) – Mexican Ethnicity
–courageous and helpful; a Mexican Female, 30’s, 40s. Her tongue is of Mexican Spanish dialect. She is fit and will wrestle a bear if it came down to it. Maria was saved by Cervantes when she tried to migrate to the USA but her family did not survive. She aims to pay Cervantes back by helping his sister, Guadalupe.

Sheriff (Supporting) – White American,
–emotionless Cop. 40’s, 50s. He is a white man but has the tongue of a Mexican. His main goal is to stop migrants on their way to America’s border by any means necessary.
Small role but important. Must be comfortable with speaking a little Spanish.

Paramedic(Extra) – Any Ethnicity, 20’s – 40’s
