Seems that the hit “Mamma Mia!” is being turned into a reality show in the UK and those interested in coming on the TV series are able to submit their auditions online. The reality competition show is being called “Mamma Mia! I have a Dream” and will be airing on ITV.

The West End’s Mamma Mia! will find its next Sophie and Sky through an eight-episode reality competition series, Mamma Mia! I Have a Dream on ITV. “Mamma Mia!” the show is supposedly set to mirror the stage play and will be filmed somewhere on the Greek Isles with the final episode filming in London. The reality show comes from Amelia Brown, Charlie Irwin, and Ashley Whitehouse for Thames and Mamma Mia! Judy Craymer will be the stage producer for the series. This reality series will be using judges who will be judging performances by contestants. Those judges will be announced at a later date as will the actual release date of the show.

According to information about the upcoming show, music and lyrics used by the reality show are by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus (of ABBA fame), Mamma Mia! is written by Catherine Johnson, directed by Phyllida Lloyd, and choreographed by Anthony Van Laast.

Mamma Mia! originally opened in London at the Prince Edward Theatre April 6, 1999, before transferring to the Prince of Wales Theatre in 2004, and then to the Novello Theatre in 2012. It reopened in the West End following the pandemic August 25, 2021.

ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE AGED 18 OR OVER ON OR BEFORE 30TH NOVEMBER 2022 AND HAVE THE RIGHT TO WORK AND LIVE IN THE UK

CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS IS SUNDAY 5th MARCH 2023 (subject to change)

FILMING IS DUE TO TAKE PLACE BETWEEN MARCH AND JUNE 2023 (subject to change)

Whilst applications are open to all aged 18 or over, the playing age of both Sophie and Sky is 18 to 30 years old.
