Movie Extras Casting Call in NYC – Basketball Players

A movie filming in the New York City area is looking for extras who have some basketball skills and would like to tryout for the roles.
GWCI in NYC is now casting those that are at least 18 years of age who have experience playing basketball for a feature film currently called “Thirty Four.”

Gwci seeking men 18+ to portray Greek high school basketball players w/ basketball experience (SAG-AFTRA covered) for the motion picture project “Thirty-Four”.
This background performer role is covered by a SAG-AFTRA CBA and subject to a Preference of Employment provision.
TENTATIVE SCHEDULED DATES:

Tryouts = 1/13 (covid test 1/11) in NYC
Rehearsal = 1-2 days during the week of Jan 17th-Jan 21st in NYC
Filming = 1/24 (covid test 1/22) OR 1/26 (covid test 1/24) in NYC
Work date is currently either 1/24 or 1/26. Must be fully available whichever date it ends up being.

This is PAID WORK! SAG-AFTRA special ability rate of $192/8hrs for the work date; $100 stipend covid testing
Mandatory COVID testing provided by production prior to filming. This production will require mandatory vaccination for those working in ZONE A. If you are offered a role, you will be required to verify that you are fully vaccinated (absent an approved accommodation) in order to be assigned to this production.

Please be aware that, in the event you are cast in this Picture, you may lose athletic amateur status and/or may not be eligible for Olympic, intercollegiate, and/or other athletic competitions and/or scholarships and/or other “amateur events.”

-Confirm you are free for work on 1/24 and 1/26 all day/night with no conflicts at all on these dates
-Understood Vaccination Memo
-If you are willing to be completely clean shaven facial hair wise for the work date as you will be portraying a high school student
-Must have valid, unexpired ID to fill out I-9 in order to work
