MALE CASTING CALL for Frankenstein, or the Modern Prometheus (World premiere, original play)

Teaneck New Theatre is holding an open casting call for the leading male roles of Victor Frankenstein, the Creature, and Henry Clerval, in the world premiere production of FRANKENSTEIN, OR THE MODERN PROMETHEUS, an original play written and directed by Fred Alvaro.
Auditions will be from 7 – 7:45 PM on Monday, August 29th at Studio Playhouse in Montclair, NJ and should you be asked to stay, callbacks will follow immediately after auditions, from 7:45 – 9:30 PM. All video submissions will be accepted until Monday, August 29th, by noon and if called back, actors are expected to attend callbacks in person that night.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN. (Ages are recommended appearance) Victor Frankenstein (M, early 20’s): Young, handsome, and focused, Frankenstein is determined to overcome death. Motivated by the death of his mother and the writings of noted alchemists of the age, Frankenstein seeks the key to eternal life. Victor’s journey is the journey of all men of ambition.
The Creature (M, ageless): The creation of Frankenstein’s genius/insanity. Assembled from the body parts of criminals and plundered graves, the creature is the stuff of 19th century horror. Massively built and grotesque in his appearance, the creature harbors an intelligence and grace not usually seen from humans. The performer should be of a larger stature who can physically portray a creature in constant emotional pain due to his monstrous birth.
Henry Clerval (M, late 20’s – early 30’s): Victor’s best friend and medical partner. A lady’s man devoted to bedding every merry widow he can, he eventually transforms into Victor’s moral compass.
