Blithe Spirit

Amateur Theatre Group, Aisteoiri Chronain, based in Clondalkin, Co. Dublin will stage a production of ‘Blithe Spirit’ by Noel Coward in Q3 of this year.
We are currently looking for an actor to fulfil the Leading Male Role of Charles. Please note this is a non-paid role because we are an amateur group. Nevertheless, we always strive to deliver an excellent standard of theatre, and as such have built up a loyal local audience over the years.
The character Charles is a 40 year-old gentleman with an upper class English accent – a witty writer who is drole and occasionally sarcastic with plenty of pithy one-liners.
The part would suit an actor aged in their late 20s to 50s.
A major role, Charles is rarely off-stage throughout the production and the part would therefore suit a dedicated actor who is looking for a significant lead role to add to their acting CV.
While former experience is preferable, the right attitude and excellent performance are key.
