Seeking 4 Women. (ages 23-70, any ethnicity) for a film and live performance. PAID. Buffalo, NY
ALL WOMEN— trans, transfemme, cis (or genderqueer individuals) are encouraged to apply.
Compass, a film installation and performance, follows four women simultaneously as they each pack a bag and leave home.
This immersive work consists of four short films, five audio zones, and four live performers in one room.
Auditions: 7/30 & 7/31
Callbacks: 8/5 & 8/6
** Actors MUST be local to Western New York and be able to attend rehearsals etc through 2024.
Note about the process:
Actors for this piece should :
– be comfortable acting without dialogue.
– be excited to develop a character from an outline sketch
– enjoy a collaborative process
– have an interest in movement improvisation – *Experience with Viewpoints or postmodern dance is a plus!
