Casting Call for in Chicago for 2024 Season on “Chicago Med”

Production is back on the NBC Chicago themed shows. Casting directors for the Chicago Med series are currently looking to cast area locals who would like to work as paid background actors on set. The show premiered in 2015 and is currently filming new episodes for the 2023 season of the show.

The casting notices are listed below. Please only submit your information if you are local to the Chicagoland area and have the availability needed. Please see the details of what they are casting for below. Please note that this is only for background actors / extras.

About the show:

The city’s most highly skilled medical team saves lives, while navigating their unique interpersonal relationships. The Gaffney Chicago Medical Center’s elite team of dedicated doctors, nurses and staff face challenges each day as they do what it takes to treat their patients, sometimes in surprisingly inventive ways. As the city’s last line of defense, doctors Charles, Reese, Halstead, Rhodes, Choi, and Manning; nurses Sexton and Lockwood; and hospital administrator Sharon Goodwin embody the heart of Dick Wolf’s triad of Chicago series.

Chicago Med – Episode 913 General Availability Form:

We’re collecting submissions for Episode 913 of Chicago Med. THE SEASON FINALE! There’s also a specific role casting notice at the very bottom of this post. Please use the same submission instructions (below), and make sure to note the different subject line.
This submission form is for general background roles, which means they’re open to any gender, ethnicity, ages 18 and older. You must have graduated from high school and not be attending classes at the time of submission. If we have any roles available for minors, we’ll post for that separately.
General background roles pay $126.40/8. The pay rate is a flat rate for any time worked up to 8 hours (it is not an hourly rate), with time + 1/2 after 8 hours. If we book you with your vehicle to be parked on set, there will be a $35 bump added to your pay. No red or white vehicles, please.

Role: We are looking for background to play cancer patients in our chemo suite of the hospital. Ideally we would like to find a few background actors with alopecia, thinning hair or a skinny/petite body physique. Open to ages 20s+, any gender, any ethnicity.

ROLE: We are looking for background that can commit to a MULTI DAY BOOKING. You must be available ALL FIVE DAYS in order to submit.

This is a SORT officer role, which stands for Special Operations Response Team – think Marine/SEAL team physique and stature. This is open to ages late 20s-early 50s, any gender, any ethnicity.

Make sure you are accurate with your sizes/measurements, and send ALL the measurements listed above. Incomplete submissions will be skipped. We also require a headshot and full length photo that are CURRENT. If we see the same photo you’ve been sending for months, we may require you to hold a piece of paper with today’s date on it and resubmit your pictures.

FILMING: Tuesday 4/9, Wednesday 4/10, Friday 4/12, Monday 4/15 and Wednesday 4/17

ROLE:

We are looking for NEW FACES to play psych ward patients, guards, nurses and med techs. Ideally we would like to give folks that haven’t worked on the show a chance to be on set, so please only submit if you have NEVER worked, or only worked ONE TIME on Chicago Med this season. This is open to ages 20s+, any gender, any ethnicity.
