Short Film – “Do You Have A Lighter?”

Faye: Female, mid 20’s: This character has left California to return to China. It’s been three months. She deals with how to let go of her past life and someone who meant a lot to her. She spends a lot of time alone, grappling with how to let go, move on and adjust to her new life. A chance encounter with someone at a convenience store while smoking cigarettes gives her a new perspective on new connections.
Min – mid 20’s: This character also moved from California to China, but it’s been years. She goes to her local convenience store to buy cigarettes – a daily activity – where she meets Faye. She’s been through a similar experience.

Once you submit your audition materials, I will be reaching out to have a video call or zoom meeting to go over the script and story. When cast, I will be meeting you at the end of September in Shanghai to do a table read before shooting. We plan to shoot beginning of October.
