Open Disney Singer Auditions in Los Angeles (North Hollywood) for Disney Cruises Live Shows

Disney has upcoming auditions for singers in the Los Angeles area.

The auditions are for vocalist / singers to work on one of the Disney Cruise line ships in one of their at sea theatrical venues on board.

Disney will be holding an open audition / casting call for shows performed aboard their Cruise Line. The open auditions will be held in the North Hollywood area of Los Angeles.
Auditions will be held at Screenland Studios for Singers on Monday, April 17, 2023 at 10:00 AM –

They are seeking to fill various roles in the Disney Theatrical productions.  Please see the roles that are listed below.

Disney Cruise Line® is conducting auditions for the upcoming Disney Fantasy and Disney Wonder casting, as well as future fleet wide needs. Disney takes pride in the art of theatrical storytelling, producing the highest caliber entertainment at sea. Tell stories the way only Disney can tell in a unique and exciting way! Walt Disney Theatre productions have an intentionally inclusive BIPOC casting approach. Seeking trained, experienced musical theatre actors to bring our expansive canon to life.

Auditions will be held shortly in Los Angeles with rehearsal taking place in Toronto, Canada.

Typical contract includes up to 8 weeks rehearsal and 6 months onboard. Contract includes competitive pay, travel, room and board – single performance cabin, guest sailing privileges, significant contract completion bonus and some guest dining privileges.

Seeking a Variety of Actors for The Walt Disney Theatre:

[OLAF] 20’s, 5’6″ to 5’10”, BIPOC inclusive. Comedic actor who puppeteers Olaf [actor is seen]. Tenor, strong actor and singer, grounded and sincere. *Also to portray various roles within the repertory.

[PETER PAN] 22 to 30 years old, BIPOC inclusive. 5’8’’ and below. Energetic with youthful charm. Strong dance and physical agility (will be required to fly by single point). Tenor. *Also to portray various roles within the repertory

[HANS] 25 to 35 years old. 20s-30s, 5’11”and above, BIPOC inclusive. Strong grounded actor and singer. Baritone/Tenor. Handsome, debonair, charming, with evil at his core. Can change persona on-a-dime. *Also to portray various roles within the repertory.

[ANNA] 20’s, 5’5” to 5’8″, BIPOC inclusive. Strong grounded actor and singer. Must have a natural, yet awkward, comedic charm. Skilled Soprano with mix/belt. *Also to portray various roles within the repertory.

[ALADDIN] 20 to 30 years old. May also portrays Kristoff in Frozen. Plays 18 to 22, 5’10”, strong grounded actor and singer, Baritone/Tenor. Great charisma, good physique, must have strong core. Charming and appealing, clever. *Also portray various roles within the repertory.

[GENIE] 25 to 35 years old. BIPOC inclusive. 5’11”+, Creative comedic actor, strong singer to G. The fantastical magic-maker made famous by Robin Williams in the film Aladdin. *Also portray various roles within the repertory.

[JASMINE] 20 to 30 years old, 5’2”-5’6”, Soprano with a strong mix, contemporary musical theatre/Disney princess sound; sense of humor, independent and feisty. Must be physically fit with strong, fit core. *Also portray various roles within the repertory.

[RAFIKI] 25 to 35 years old, Black Performer. Strong gospel pop belt with thrill notes. Strong actor who brings to light the true meaning of life – to believe in magic. Performs “The Circle of Life”, comedic chops a plus. Must have solid low notes. *Also portray various roles within the repertory.

[ELSA] 20’s, 5’6” to 5’9″, BIPOC inclusive. Physically trim. Mezzo Soprano with floaty mix/ powerful belt. Must sing “Let it Go” in the original key effortlessly. *Also to portray various roles within the repertory.

[Moana] Early 20’s. Featured singer, must have strong musical theatre mix, and move very well. *Also portray various roles within the repertory.

[SOPHIA/ANNE MARIE] youthful 20s, 5’3”. Natural actor and strong singer. Current, contemporary, hip, and upbeat with a winning spirit. *Also portray various roles within the repertory.

[BEAST] 25 to 35, 5’11” to 6’3″, BIPOC inclusive. Handsome, well-built leading man type. Grounded actor, vulnerable, angry and volatile. Not a caricature. *Also to portray various roles within the repertory.

[COGSWORTH] 20s to 30s, BIPOC inclusive manic, officious English major domo, someone wound him up way too tight, slightly snooty Brit, with a heart of gold, English accent required. *Also to portray various roles within the repertory.

[LE FOU] 25 to 35, BIPOC inclusive. Gaston’s adoring hanger-on buddy, seeking an accomplished stage comedian, must be able to sing. *Also to portray various roles within the repertory.

[BELLE] 20’s, 5’4″ to 5’8″, BIPOC inclusive. Strong grounded actor with effortless soprano mix, classically beautiful, eyes that shine with intelligence, strong-willed, adventurous. *Also to portray various roles within the repertory.

[MRS. POTTS] 25 to 35, 5’5″ to 5’9″, BIPOC inclusive. Strong grounded actor who sings well. Sings the title song, in waltz time. *Also to portray various roles within the repertory.

[MME GARDEROBE] 25 to 35, 5’7″ to 5’10”, BIPOC inclusive. Audra McDonald type, Powerhouse Coloratura with a flair for the dramatic. Warm, friendly, comedic. *Also to portray various roles within the repertory.

[ARIEL] 20 to 29 years old, Black Performer. Youthful naiveté. 5’2” to 5’5”. Strong actor, strong mix. *Also portray various roles within the repertory.

[PRINCE ERIC] 20 to 30 years old, male. 5’10” and above. BIPOC inclusive. Strong grounded actor. Pop rock voice. *Also portray various roles within the repertory.

[SEBASTIAN] 20 to 30 years old, Black Performer. 5’9” to 6’. Comedic, strong voice, solid actor who moves well. Manipulates puppet. *Also portray various roles within the repertory.

[HERCULES] 20 to 35 years old, male. 6’ and above. Well built, strong physique. Featured singer, Souring musical theatre tenor. Must move well. *Also portray various roles within the repertory.

Prepare 16 bars of a vocal selection of your choice with sheet music. Select material you have an organic connection with that tells a story, that you bring to life is an honest way. Called back candidates may learn a movement combination.
