Chicago P.D. needs Chicagoland locals to work as paid background actors.
The show is coming back with new episodes on NBC and the 2023 season of the show is now filming in Chicago, Illinois. The long running TV series is a spin off of Chicago Fire and part of a group of Chicago themed shows which include crossover episodes with other popular NBC shows created by Dick Wolf. Dick Wolf has been behind the Law & Order series of shows as well. The Chicago themed shows currently include Chicago PD, Chicago Med and the original Chicago show, Chicago Fire.
About the show:
Chicago P.D.’s Intelligence Unit, led by Sgt. Hank Voight, investigates the city’s most formidable offenses — drug trafficking, organized crime, high-profile murders and other large-scale felonies. The squad — made up of Voight, Trudy Platt, Kim Burgess, Adam Ruzek, Kevin Atwater, Jay Halstead and Hailey Upton — is committed to protecting the city and seeking truth, but in the midst of a changing criminal justice system, the team struggles to maintain peace in the community. Voight must learn to adapt to a shifting sociopolitical climate and embrace new tactics to crack down on crime in the city he loves.

We’re looking for multiple babies to play newborns in Episode 814 for Chicago Med. Ideally we’re looking for babies that are roughly 3 months old. Open to any gender and ethnicity. *We cannot hire babies under 3 months of age* Please send your submissions in ASAP! We need to show the selections to the director no later than Thursday 1/5 at noon.

The parent/guardian will take a Covid test at Cinespace in advance of filming, and our limited cast/crew shooting this particular scene will also be required to rapid test on the day of filming, for everyone’s safety.

We’re looking for a child photo double for Episode 1014 of Chicago PD. This is a very unique scene/situation, so please read the details below carefully:
We are shooting this scene indoors on a soundstage in a controlled water tank/pool. The water will be heated to a comfortable temperature, and the depth will be about 3.5 feet at most. The photo double will be kneeling in the water, bent over at the waist and face down in the water to make it appear as if he’s unconscious and floating. Your child doesn’t necessarily need to know how to swim, but they should be comfortable being in the tank and not afraid to dunk their face in the water.
We’re looking for a young African American (or mixed, medium complected) boy, roughly 5-6 years old, around 4′ tall, 55 lbs. Please make sure to send CURRENT photos (preferably taken within the past couple days) so we can see what his current hair style looks like. This detail is SUPER important; please don’t send outdated photos. We’ll need a front facing picture from the chest/shoulders up, a full length photo, and a picture of the back or side of his head to see the full hair style. The better quality the photos are, the more likely you’ll be to get selected.

The following scenes take place on a Chicago L train. Since this is considered an “indoor” space, you will be required to wear a mask while on the train in between setups (you can ONLY remove your mask for filming). The Covid team will be enforcing these rules, and if they are not followed, we will be notified. If we are notified that you did not comply with them you will not be asked back to work on Chicago PD or Chicago Med for the remainder of the season. As an added safety measure, everyone will be antigen (rapid) testing before work every day. We will have testing trailers available on location for this. If your call time is at crew call or earlier, you will not have to wait for your results. If you are in a later call time wave, you will have to wait 40 minutes for your test to process before starting work.
Each “CAR” has a set number of days we may need you to work. If you cannot be available for all the days listed, do not submit. We are relying on you to be there all the specified days for continuity. Out of the days listed, we may only need you 3 out of the 4 days, but you need to be available for all 4 dates listed while we sort out the bookings. You will get your required dates in your booking email.
We will be filming some scenes underground in the train tunnels. We will be turning off most of the regular lighting and going down to what would typically be illuminated underground in the event of an emergency. If you are uncomfortable with being in the dark or the train being under street level, you may not want to submit for this scene. *This primarily refers to CAR 1 and CAR 2 folks.
We will have more specifics and additional details in your booking email, so please read it thoroughly if you are selected to work. You are responsible for knowing and complying with the information we include in your email.
