Casting Call: Lead Actor for Feature Horror Film “Never Meet Your Heroes” (Non-Union, Crowd-Funded)
Filming will take place primarily in Northeast Ohio.
Two aspiring filmmakers’ dreams turn into a nightmare when their idol, a legendary but reclusive horror director, invites them to his secluded estate for a twisted mentorship.

Casting the role of STEPHEN KEYS:
Stephen Keys is an infamous and enigmatic horror filmmaker in his late 40s to early 60s. Once renowned for his groundbreaking and controversial films, Keys has become a reclusive figure surrounded by mystery and dark rumors. He is charismatic and intense, with a magnetic presence that both attracts and unsettles those around him.
We are seeking a talented actor who can capture the depth, intensity, and volatility of this challenging role. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with intense, emotionally demanding material. Experience in the horror genre is a plus but not required. Playing guitar is a bonus, but not mandatory.
This is an open casting call for men of all races and backgrounds. The role is non-union and non-paid.
