Theater auditions in Tennessee for the 45th season of their official outdoor drama, Liberty!
Actors in the area are invited to audition for the show which is called “Liberty! The Saga of Sycamore Shoals,” and is performed outside at the Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park in Elizabethton, TN. The show will be performed in the late spring / summer month of June at Fort Watauga Amphitheater and will be performed every weekend in June, 2024.
In Elizabethton, Tennessee, preparations are in full swing for the 45th season of the state’s official outdoor drama, “Liberty!” The success of the show is attributed in part to the skilled local actors who contribute to its excellence.
Elizabethton, Tennessee, is a picturesque city situated in the northeastern part of the state. Nestled within the Appalachian region, it is part of Carter County and lies along the banks of the Watauga River.

About the show:
Experience the 45th season of “Liberty! The Saga of Sycamore Shoals,” Tennessee’s official outdoor drama, starting June 7, 2024, at Sycamore Shoals State Historic Park in Elizabethton. Running every weekend in June at 8:00 PM in the Fort Watauga Amphitheater, the play vividly portrays the late 18th-century history of Sycamore Shoals.
Against the scenic backdrop of Fort Watauga, local performers bring to life the journey of long hunters and settlers crossing the Appalachian Mountains, challenging the British Proclamation of 1763. Witness the formation of a new government, land transactions with the Cherokee, and the fight for freedom during the American Revolution. Don’t miss this unique theatrical experience by the cool waters of the Watauga River.

Performances begin nightly at 8:00 PM. Doors open at 6:30 PM. Concession stand opens at 7:00 PM.
