AUDITION NOTICE: ALICE IN WONDERLAND
Arts Bonita Young Actors Theatre is excited to invite you to audition for our upcoming production of Alice in Wonderland Jr.!
Join the show at Arts Bonita Young Actors Theatre. This fantastical journey through Wonderland is looking for aspiring actors in the Bonita Springs, Florida area and promises to enchant audiences of all ages with its whimsical charm and timeless tale. Under the direction of the talented Danica Murray, this production of Alice in Wonderland JR. offers aspiring actors the chance to audition and breathe life into beloved characters on stage.

“Alice in Wonderland Jr.” is a whimsical and enchanting adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s classic tale. Set in the magical world of Wonderland, the story follows Alice as she falls down the rabbit hole into a fantastical realm filled with eccentric characters and surreal landscapes. From the quirky inhabitants of Wonderland to the mischievous Cheshire Cat and the tyrannical Queen of Hearts, each character adds to the charm and intrigue of this beloved story.

Prepare a 1-minute cut of a song (16-32 bars) that showcases your vocal range and acting abilities. You may bring a backing track on your phone or sheet music to be played by our accompanist.
Roles:
- Alice (Female, Vocal range: Bb3-D5): A curious and adventurous girl of different sizes.
- Small Alice (Female, Vocal range: B3-A4): A curious and adventurous girl of different sizes.
- Tall Alice (Female, Vocal range: B3-A4): A curious and adventurous girl of different sizes.
- Mathilda (Female): Alice’s older sister, logical and grounded.
- Friends 1 & 2 (Female): Snooty friends of Mathilda who find Alice odd.
- Cheshire Cats 1-3 (Male/Female): Magical felines in three parts, friendly guides.
- White Rabbit (Male, Vocal range: C4-E5): Perennially tardy royal trumpeter.
- Doorknob (Male/Female): Gatekeeper of Wonderland.
- Dodo Bird (Male, Vocal range: B3-C5): Captain of the Queen’s Navy.
- Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum (Male, Vocal range: C#4-Eb5): Goofy twins with impeccable manners.
- Rose, Lily, Petunia, Daisy, Violet (Female, Vocal range: B3-D5): Rudely exclusive Flowers.
- Caterpillar (Male, Vocal range: A#3-C#5): Charming and theatrical.
- Mad Hatter (Male, Vocal range: Bb3-Bb4): Tea party host with a penchant for hats.
- March Hare (Male, Vocal range: B3-B4): Ever-celebrating and game-loving tea party host.
- King of Hearts (Male): Placid partner of the Queen.
- Queen of Hearts (Female, Vocal range: C4-D5): Hot-tempered monarch of Wonderland.
Individual time slots will be assigned the week prior to auditions. If you have not received an email containing a time slot by April 1st, please contact us at youththeatre@artsbonita.org.
We encourage video auditions for those unable to attend in person. The same materials are required, and you can upload your video via a Dropbox file request by 11:59pm on April 2nd.
Rehearsals will begin on June 24th and will run Monday to Friday evenings until the performances on July 19th-21st (no rehearsals on July 4th-5th).
