Call for Paid TV Extras and Stand Ins in Chicago for Chicago PD & Chicago Med

Chicago PD & Chicago Med Casting Call in Illinois / Wisconsin area.

With the strike now over, productions of popular TV shows like Chicago PD and Chicago Med are beginning production for the new 2024 season.

The shows will begin filming shortly in the Chicago area and the extras casting directors have put out their first calls. The show generally casts stand ins, photo doubles and extras from in and around the Chicago area.

The three NBC Chicago shows generally film around the same time in Chicago and NBC’s Chicago Fire has also released a casting call for stand ins and extras.

“Chicago P.D.,” a police procedural drama, is a key component of the acclaimed “One Chicago” franchise. Premiering in 2014, the series is set against the dynamic backdrop of the Chicago Police Department’s Intelligence Unit. Led by the dedicated and often intense Sergeant Hank Voight, portrayed by Jason Beghe, the unit navigates the complex challenges of law enforcement in the Windy City. “Chicago P.D.” delves into the personal and professional lives of the officers as they tackle high-stakes cases, confront moral dilemmas, and form unbreakable bonds. The show is celebrated for its realistic portrayal of crime-solving, its diverse ensemble cast, and its exploration of the moral gray areas that law enforcement officers navigate.

Subject line: CAR CRASH VICTIM
Role: Seeking a young African American male, ages 18-early 20s, to play a car crash victim for crime scene photos. You will also be taking a driver’s license/mugshot style photo for the evidence board.
There will most likely be a wardrobe fitting in advance of the still photos. Both the fitting and stills have yet to be scheduled. PLEASE LET US KNOW WHICH DATES YOU ARE AVAILABLE IN YOUR SUBMISSION (between Wednesday 3/14 and Friday 3/22).

Role: Seeking a young African American male, early-mid 20s, to play a gunshot victim. You will have special effects blood on your face and head, and you must be comfortable with sitting still for an extended period of time.

Role: Seeking a young African American male, early-mid 20s, approximately 5’11” to 6’1″ / 180 lbs, medium build, to play a dead body. You must be comfortable laying still for an extended period of time, and there may be special effects blood applied to you.

Role: Seeking a Hispanic/Latinx woman in her 50s to play a gunshot victim. You must be comfortable laying on your back on the floor, with your limbs splayed out for an extended period of time. There will also be special effects blood applied to your face and head.

Role: Seeking a young African American male, preferably 18 or 19 years old, to play the featured friend of a day player cast member. You’ll have some special effects makeup applied to your face to make it look like you got in a fight.
PAY: $126.40/8 + $25 fitting bump
FITTING: Wednesday 3/20 at 3:30pm
FILMING: Friday 3/22

Chicago PD – Episode 1111 General Availability Form:

General background roles pay $126.40/8. The pay rate is a flat rate for any time worked up to 8 hours (it is not an hourly rate), with time + 1/2 after 8 hours. If we book you with your vehicle to be parked on set, there will be a $35 bump added to your pay. No red or white vehicles, please.
