Tyler Perry is coming to Colorado to film a new movie called “Joy Ridge.”
The upcoming production has a casting call out for people who live in the Ridgway and Ouray Colorado areas and would like to get paid to appear in the movie as background actors.
Tyler Perry is helming his upcoming project, ‘Joy Ridge.‘ The production will be filming in Colorado and has a casting call out in the area.
Filming is set to begin shortly in Atlanta, Georgia and some of the scenes will also film in Colorado.
The film centers on Joy, a thriving fashion designer yearning for a Christmas proposal. However, her plans take an unexpected turn amidst the picturesque Wyoming mountains, where she discovers the true essence of love and companionship. After learning that her beloved considers her his best friend and introduces her to his fiancée, Joy flees his ranch during a snowstorm. Amidst the wintry landscape, she is rescued by a charming stranger who becomes more than a mere passerby in her life.

Tyler Perry, in addition to directing ‘Joy Ridge,’ is also helming the film based on his own screenplay. This project is just one of several in the filmmaker’s pipeline. Alongside ‘Joy Ridge,’ Perry is currently working on the production of ‘Joe’s College Road Trip’ for Netflix.
Filming locations for this include Clarksdale, Mississippi; Memphis, Tennessee; and Atlanta. ‘Joe’s College Road Trip’ follows B.J. on a journey where he discovers his family’s history from his grandfather, Joe, during an enlightening road trip.
