Movie Extras Needed in North Carolina.
A romantic comedy currently called “Merv” is filming in the Wilmington area and is seeking area locals to work as paid background actors on set. While “Merv” is supposedly set in Florida, it looks like it will actually be filming in the North Carolina area this spring with some beach scenes being filmed at North Carolina area beaches.
Actress Zooey Deschanel is set to star in “Merv,” a romantic comedy directed by Jessica Swale for Amazon MGM Studios. The script is written by Linsey Stewart and Dane Clark with Matt Baer and Roma Downey producing the project.

This movie is currently using the working title “Merv,” which means that the movie may or may not be called that upon release. According to Collider, “Merv” follows the story of a couple who, after discovering their shared dog is struggling with depression post-breakup, come together in an awkward reunion during the holidays. To help their depressed doggie, Merv, the couple take themselves and their furry BFF on a sunny vacation to Florida. This is a RomCom, so by definition, somewhere on the trip to help their dog, they come to realize that they still have romantic feelings towards each other.
