Tyler Perry Studios in Georgia is looking for paid interns.
If you are a college student in a film or TV program, here is a chance to work in the industry, get college credit and get paid to do so. The Tyler Perry Studios Dreamers program has opened up applications for 2024. The program is offering a wide array of paid jobs which includes casting, makeup, grips, PA’s, wardrobe, props, location management, post production, camera, 3D, art and more.
Program runs 6 weeks (Mid-June through early August) and the deadline to apply is May 5th. The internship will be at the Tyler Perry Studios location in Atlanta, Georgia and requires a minimum time commitment of at least 16 hours per week.
Participants will rotate between roles in Production, Studio Operations, Accounting, Development, Post Production, Social/Digital Media, IT, Art/Graphic Design, Legal, Wardrobe… and more. College Credit is available and it even includes a field trip and chats with industry professionals.
Payment: $18/hour

A few requirements:
– Must be a College Student or enrolled in a TV/Film training program; High School students not eligible.
Must have a passion to pursue a career in the entertainment industry.
– Must be at least 18 Years of Age at the time of submission.
– Must work as a local; TPS does not provide housing or travel costs for interns.
– Must be available at least 16 hours a week for a minimum of 6 weeks. No intern can work over 40 hours per week.
– Interns seeking college credit – Students must be registered for an internship for academic credit with their college or university and must provide official letter on school letterhead verifying that internship course credit will be re- ceived for the internship. Proof of school enrollment or class descriptions will not be accepted as verification.
– Background Checks will be administered for all selected interns prior to employment. All internships are paid at $18/hour.
