Love Halloween? Need an acting job? If you live in the Pleasanton, California area you may be in luck as with Halloween approaching, haunted attractions and shows all around the country are seeking scare actors who have no problem wearing costumes and makeup to work.

Pirates of Emerson Haunted Adventure, located at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, CA, is a Halloween attraction that promises thrills and chills for all who dare to enter. This immersive haunted experience transforms the fairgrounds into a terrifying world of pirate lore and supernatural horrors, featuring intricate sets, professional actors, and spine-tingling special effects. Each year, the event draws thousands of visitors eager to brave the eerie mazes, haunted ships, and sinister encounters that make up this unique adventure.

2025 Crew Signups!
We’re looking for crew members, 18 and older, to help us scare the wits out of the General Public!
Our public season runs from September 27th – November 2nd. Keep in mind that this job really isn’t for everyone. It’s not as easy as it sounds, but if you are into scaring people, in a fun environment, you can make it through and have a blast!
Signups will be September 13th & 14th, 10am to 2pm. You only need to signup on one of the dates.
Enter at Gate 12 and tell the guard or parking attendant (if present) that you are there for Pirates. Turn right immediately after entering Gate 12 onto Road 6. Approximately 1/8 mile later you will find us on the right.
For those new hires selected, there will be a Monster Training class & costume fitting September 20th from 7pm.
You MUST be at least 18 years old to participate.
If you have not worked for us previously, you must bring a copy of your drivers license (or Gov’t issued photo ID) and SSN card. We are really looking for cast members, with the right attitude, who can work ALL of our 20 night run. Hiring for actors, cashiers and ticket takers.
Starting pay is $16.50/hr with a $300 bonus if you work all open nights.
