Sword & Cloak Productions is seeking a Black actor for the Female lead in an experimental horror short: BOTTOM OF THE STAIRS. This will be a brisk, fun project, filming on the far North Side. 1-2 Weekend days of shooting, November/December.
“ADLEE is a tousled but sharp-eyed Temp Worker, given all the worst jobs in a nameless office. Relegated to carrying a pile of heavy boxes down a dark back stairwell, Adlee discovers a mysterious small door. Inside she discovers a supernatural evil that it will take all her wits to escape. “
Project: Short Film
Role: ADLEE is a young woman (20’s/30’s) who is smart, curious, impulsive, but not one to give up without a fight.
Submission Instructions
We are looking for actors & personalities, not models. Alternative looks are very welcome. Local talent only.
Auditions will be held over Zoom. Filming will take in Rogers Park, Chicago – off Loyola Red Line stop.
