(Paid) Casting for George Fox University Student Film, (Hillsboro, Oregon)
We are a group of George Fox students shooting a short film at the Airplane Home for our Location Production class, looking for a total of three non-union actors.
Project Title: Clearing The Air
Location: Airplane Home: 15270 SW Holly Hill Rd, Hillsboro, OR 97123
Safety Considerations: Dress for potential rain and cold weather. Several cats roam around the area, so be weary if you have any allergies. The actor that plays Jean will hold a non functional prop firearm.
Shoot Dates: 10/28/2025 and 10/30/2025, 2:00PM – 9:00PM
Age Requirement: 18 and over
Pay: 50$ per day
You will receive a collection of your scenes to include in your reel.
Synopsis: Lost in the woods, siblings Gertie and Hudson come upon an airplane containing valuables. The sister aims to ransack the plane, while her brother urges her against it. Upon the return of the airplane’s resident, Jean, the sister attempts to escape with her spoils by attacking Jean from behind while her brother serves as a distraction. Her plan is thwarted by Jean, who catches her in the act, and Hudson, who reveals her presence and forces her to return what she stole. Once the two parties agree to part ways, it is revealed that Jean is a fugitive with a reward for her capture, worth more than anything the siblings could’ve stolen.
Character Breakdown
(Antagonist) Jean: A perceptive older woman with a soft face but a hardened demeanor, a criminal past, and a lifetime of secrets behind her eyes.
Age: The character is meant to be in her early sixties, but her age isn’t a strict guideline.
(Protagonist) Hudson: A thoughtful late teen with dark hair, an anxious posture, and a subdued retro rock styling, who has a tendency to let others walk over him.
He is the younger brother to Gertie.
“Think William Miller in Almost Famous but more frazzled and sarcastic.”
Age: Roughly 18-19
(Protagonist) Gertie: An outdoorsy, has-it-all-together college girl with a “Karen Carpenter” fashion sense, a hidden impulsive nature, and a proclivity toward not seeing beyond her own scope.
Age: Around 20-21 years old
