Feature Film Seeks Real-Life Cinema Workers for London-Based Production

A unique feature film set entirely within the walls of a cinema is now casting and it’s looking for authentic voices from those who know the industry best. An open casting call in London, UK for actors who currently work in, or have past experience working in, cinemas. From part-time ushers and concession stand employees to projectionists and managers, the production wants to showcase individuals with a deep love of film and firsthand connection to these cherished cultural spaces.
The casting team is especially eager to hear personal stories—whether it’s about meeting lifelong friends, falling in love over buckets of popcorn, or finding a sense of home and identity in the glow of the big screen. Those aged 40 and older are strongly encouraged to apply, particularly if they have compelling memories or transformative moments tied to cinema life.
Filming will take place in central London from mid to late September 2025. This is a paid opportunity, and the production is committed to equal pay across all cast and crew.
Applicants must be based in or around London, or have access to local accommodation during filming.
