A new Tyler Perry project for Netflix is bringing production to the Chicago area this fall.
The upcoming feature film, Tis So Sweet, is now casting local background extras for scenes filming in November. This production seems to be filming this month in both Chicago, Illinois and Atlanta, Georgia. The casting notice listed below is the submission instructions for Chicago, Only. The Netflix movie stars Taraji P. Henson and is inspired by the remarkable true story of Lenore Lindsey, a Chicago bakery owner whose life takes a miraculous turn after a life-changing discovery forces her to confront her past and rediscover her faith and purpose. Produced by Tyler Perry and DeVon Franklin, Tis So Sweet continues their faith-based storytelling partnership with Netflix and marks their second collaboration under the streaming deal.
Filming will take place in various parts of Chicago. The casting team is looking for local talent only, as travel and lodging are not covered.
