New TV Project Helps Shy Kids Build Friendships
Does your child light up at home but struggle to connect with other kids? A heartwarming new television project from the award-winning team behind The Dog House and the BAFTA-winning executive producer of First Dates is looking for children aged 5 to 8 in the Bristol and Bath area (UK) to take part in a unique developmental experience about childhood friendship.
Produced by Five Mile Films, the upcoming series will help children who feel shy or unsure around peers build confidence, resilience, and social skills — all with guidance from top child psychologists. The goal is to help them take the first step toward finding their “tribe.”
The production is currently casting for a non-broadcast proof of concept, filming over three half-days in Bristol this August. During filming, children will receive supportive coaching and, at the end, will be gently matched on a play date with a potential new friend from their local area.
