ABC7 Los Angeles is currently hiring a weekend evening anchor/reporter to join its Eyewitness News team in one of the nation’s most competitive media markets. The station is looking for a dedicated journalist and newsroom leader with strong storytelling abilities across television, digital, social, and streaming platforms.
The role includes anchoring on Saturdays and Sundays and reporting three nights during the week, requiring full-time, on-site presence in Glendale, CA. Ideal candidates will have a passion for community-driven journalism, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to thrive under deadline pressure.
Key responsibilities include delivering compelling live reports, creating original content, collaborating closely with producers, and maintaining active engagement on social media. Participation in public events and flexibility with scheduling, including holidays, are essential.
Qualifications:
- Experience in multiple markets
- Strong live shot presentation
- Minimum five years on-air experience in a top 20 market preferred
- Investigative reporting background is a plus
- Adobe Premiere/Dalet One-Cut proficiency preferred
- Bilingual candidates encouraged
- Bachelor’s degree required
