FX’s The Bear is back for Season 5, and 4 Star Casting is seeking background actors to to work in various background roles for episode filming in Chicago in 2025.
The production is looking for individuals of all ethnicities, ages 18 and older, to participate. The role pays $129.60 for an eight-hour shoot. To apply, see casting notice below. Please note this films in Chicago, so you must be a Chicago local to be considered as travel expenses are not paid. This is an an extras casting call and all roles are paid.

1) Subject Line: STAND IN – (INSERT CAST NAME YOU ARE SUBMITTING FOR)
2) Please list your stand in experience. **You must have stand in experience to submit.
3) In the submission email include name, age range, height, weight, MEASUREMENTS, city and zip, phone, email.
4) Attach a headshot and/or candid photo AND a full body in JPEG format. Make sure the photo is taken in decent lighting (no selfies), no sunglasses. Show us your style but make sure we can see your face!
5) Please confirm your mode of transportation, i.e. Uber, Bus, Own Vehicle, etc.
6) Confirm you have open availability for the filming dates (MON.12/15 & TUES. 12/16) and let us know what your availability looks like for the rest of the season ending 2/20.

In the bulk of the email, please include your name, role, phone number, email, and measurements, including shoes. **Please include a recent photo.
If you haven’t worked the show yet, but have experience as front-of-the-house (host, wait staff, bus boy, etc) OR kitchen staff (dishwasher, prep, expediter, line cook, Pastry Chef, Sous-Chef, Head-Chef, etc), and want to be considered, please send an email with the subject line with either “NEW front of house” or “NEW kitchen staff.”
