NOW CASTING BACKGROUND ROLES
FILM: TAKE ME HOME
LOCATIONS: CENTRAL FLORIDA
Kissimmee, Lakeland, Orlando areas
RATES: $150/8hr OR $175/12hr depending on date and length of day
This project went to the Tribeca Film Festival as a short film and won funding to expand in to a feature – and these filmmakers are a gem to work with. The film centers around Anna, an adult with an Cognitive Disability living with her mother in Midland Florida.
BACKGROUND BREAKDOWN
Seeking Orlando, FL locals who are available between 8/19/2025 and 9/3/2025. Acting experience not required. We welcome submissions from non-professional actors and individuals living with disabilities.
KNITTING CIRCLE MEMBERS – All ages, genders, and ethnicities. A warm, gentle group contentedly knitting together. Reflects the community’s inclusive and peaceful environment. Open to performers with visible disabilities, seniors, and real knitters.

COMMUNITY MEMBERS – All ages, genders, ethnicities, and abilities. A vibrant, inclusive group reflecting a diverse, intergenerational care community. Familiar, friendly faces who create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Seeking real representation across disability and racial identities. Families are welcome.
OLDER MEN & WOMEN – 60s–80s, any ethnicity, any gender. Residents working as waitstaff in a memory care café. Appear slightly confused or disoriented, but kind and eager.
ASSISTED LIVING HOME PEOPLE – All ages, genders, ethnicities, and abilities. Background would be playing as residents, visiting family, nurses, and caregivers in an assisted living home.
