Camerones 6 – Project Title “Fathers”

Hi, we are looking to cast 5 male characters (3 characters aged between 30-50, and 2 younger characters aged 7-10). The position is unpaid but we will provide food and footage.
Filming date: tbd but aiming for a Sunday in July
Location: East Vancouver
Synopsis: A father and son toss a weathered baseball back and forth. As the father grips the ball, he’s reminded of his own dad, and how those moments quietly shaped him. Now, without saying a word, he’s passing down more than a game: he’s passing down patience, trust, and love, the things he learned long ago. Everything he learned in those childhood throws is shaping the heart of a future father.
Characters:
Carlos, 35-45, male
Carlos is gentle, patient and thoughtful. Currently a stay at home dad after being laid off a month ago, he’s using this time to explore old interests, connect with his kids, and rediscover his values.
Young Nick, 7-10, male
Young Nick is an optimistic high energy kid who loves playing and being outdoors. He’s clumsy, innocent, and fearless. “I can’t do it” is not part of his vocabulary.
Carlos’ Dad, 40-45, male
Carlos’ dad is driven by purpose and has a strong desire to achieve results. Work has been stressful, leading him to take on extra responsibilities and work overtime. He believes in always doing your best and providing the best for the family.
Young Carlos, 7-10, male
Young Carlos is introverted, meticulous and precise. He recently started learning how to play baseball and his dad has been coaching him to join the team at school. He’s learned to either give his best or nothing at all and his pursuit of excellence sometimes leads to burnout.
Old Nick, 30-40, male
Old Nick is a young father. He’s still enthusiastic and enjoys engaging in playful activities.
