Boston Casting Seeks Amputees for Upcoming M. Night Shyamalan Film “Remain”

Boston Casting is currently seeking amputees for a major upcoming feature film believed to be Remain, the latest psychological thriller from acclaimed director M. Night Shyamalan. While the casting notice does not officially name the project, industry sources have linked the call to Remain, which is the only major film currently in production in the Boston, Massachusetts / Rhode Island area during the listed time frame.

Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Remain is reportedly based on a forthcoming novel by Nicholas Sparks, with Shyamalan both adapting and directing the film. Warner Bros. has scheduled the movie for release on October 23, 2026, and it is expected to deliver the director’s trademark twists and psychological intensity.

Casting Call Details:

Producers are looking to cast amputee actors for a dramatic sequence involving a bridge collapse, where selected individuals will portray victims trapped and crushed under debris. Applicants must be comfortable working with fake blood and performing scenes that require physical stillness or staged injury.
