New Projects Seeks Older Conservatives willing to get a drag makeover.
Ya, this may be a big ask. However, a production company named CUT, is asking.
A new unscripted series is casting families with conservative or right-leaning relatives who might be ready for an eye-opening experience. The show will feature dads, uncles, and grandpas who are introduced to the world of drag through a full makeover. The goal is not to ridicule or embarrass participants, but to encourage empathy, self-reflection, and meaningful conversations about identity, acceptance, and expression.
Producers are seeking men with strong conservative views who may be skeptical or dismissive of drag but are willing to step outside their comfort zone for the sake of understanding. By stepping into the shoes… or heels… of a drag performer, participants will gain first-hand insight into a vibrant art form while audiences get to witness transformation on more than just the surface level.
This project aims to spark dialogue across generations and ideologies, proving that sometimes the boldest makeovers happen on the inside. Families interested in nominating a relative for this unique opportunity are encouraged to apply now and help bridge divides one sequin at a time.
