Ensemble & Chorus Roles for Off-Broadway Play
Now Casting NYC-Based Actors Only
A new theatrical work is making its Off-Broadway debut this winter, and submissions are now open for ensemble and chorus roles. Actors must be based in the New York City area to be considered.
Production Title: From the Other Side of Darkness (When There’s No Place Like Home)
Performance Dates: December 18, 20, and 21, 2025
Venue: Hudson Guild Theater, 441 W 26th St, New York, NY 10001
This new play, written, directed, produced, and featuring Levi Wise-Kenneth Catoe Jr., is a cosmic allegory disguised as a coming-of-age odyssey. Set in a trailer park and catapulted into the sun, the story follows three young men — a South Asian caretaker, a white scientist, and a Black aspiring filmmaker — as they grapple with systems, legacies, and fears far greater than themselves. It’s a gripping and genre-defying production that blends social commentary, surrealism, and human vulnerability.

The playwright is seeking a diverse ensemble and chorus to finish off the play’s cast.
