Fairfield Center Stage Announces Open Auditions for Annie

Fairfield Center Stage (FCS) is thrilled to announce open auditions — both in-person and virtual — for its upcoming fall musical production of Annie. The beloved family-friendly musical will run November 14–30, 2025, at Wakeman Hall inside First Church Congregational in downtown Fairfield.

FCS is seeking a diverse cast of singers, actors, and dancers ages 6+ and adults (16+) of all backgrounds and types to bring this heartwarming classic to life. As a community theater group, FCS is non-Equity and all roles are volunteer-based.

The production will be led by Director Christy McIntosh-Newsom, Music Director Ken Legum, and Choreographer Mia Tommins. Rehearsals begin on or around Sunday, September 21, and are generally held Monday through Thursday evenings and Sunday afternoons, with children released earlier during the rehearsal process. Tech week and sitzprobe are mandatory, with key dates set for November 8–13.

How to Audition

Appointments are highly recommended to avoid long wait times. Reserve your audition time slot at: SignUpGenius: FCS Annie Auditions

If you cannot attend in person or are feeling unwell, virtual auditions are welcome. Submit your video and digital audition form following the instructions below.

What to Prepare

All auditioners should prepare:

A brief song (under 1 minute) in the style of the show — singing from Annie is acceptable.

Sheet music in the correct key. An accompanist will be provided.

Please do not sing a cappella or use mobile devices for accompaniment.

After signing up, you will receive a link to complete your digital audition form and submit a resume/headshot or recent photo.

Video Submission Guidelines

If auditioning virtually:

Record an approximately one-minute section of a song in the style of the show (a comedic Christmas or contemporary musical theater song is ideal).

Use an accompaniment track (karaoke, piano, guitar, etc.) — no a cappella submissions.

Submit your audition video and digital audition form here.

FCS encourages performers of all races, ethnicities, body types, gender expressions, ages, abilities, and experience levels to audition.
