Casting Call: Paid Background Roles for Two New A24 Horror Series Filming in NY/NJ – Adults and Teens Needed
Grant Wilfley Casting (GWC) is now casting background actors for upcoming A24 productions—Crystal Lake set to film in the New York and New Jersey areas. These are paid opportunities, and both union and non-union performers are welcome to apply. All talent must be local to the NY/NJ region.
Crystal Lake – Prequel to Friday the 13th
A24 and Peacock are bringing horror fans back to the birthplace of one of the genre’s most iconic franchises with Crystal Lake, a 1970s-set prequel to Friday the 13th. Filming will take place in New Jersey, where the original 1980 film was shot, and casting is looking for background actors with authentic 1970s looks—natural hair colors, longer or shaggier styles, and no modern piercings or cuts.
This is a unique opportunity to appear in a major horror series from the studio behind Hereditary and Midsommar. Don’t miss the chance to be part of this chilling and nostalgic return to Camp Crystal Lake.

Mama’s Boy – Casting Teen Background Actors (Ages 14–17)
GWC is also casting background actors for Mama’s Boy, another A24 horror series filming in the NJ/NY area. They are currently seeking teens ages 14–17 to portray high school students.
