GWCI in New York is now casting kids to work on set of “Crystal Lake” as paid background actors.
No experience is necessary.
According to NJ.com. the working name “Mama’s Boy” is actually the Friday the 13th Prequel series that is set at camp Crystal Lake. According to NJ, the new show will be called “Crystal Lake” and is set during the 1970’s where the events of the Friday the 13th movie francrystachise begin.
The series will be filming all through the summer and into early fall in the New York and New Jersey area.

Grant Wilfley Casting is seeking children ages 8–13 to portray campers in the upcoming A24 horror series Mama’s Boy, filming in New Jersey from June through October. Set in 1971, the production is looking for kids with natural hair colors and period-appropriate styles—no modern cuts, dyed hair, or facial piercings. This is paid background work. SAG-AFTRA rate is $216/8hrs (with an increase starting July 1, 2025), and non-union rate is $181.50/10hrs.
