Casting Call for 2026 Season of “Chicago Med”

Production is back on the NBC Chicago themed shows. Casting directors for the Chicago Med series are currently looking to cast area locals who would like to work as paid background actors on set. The show premiered in 2015 and is currently filming new episodes for the 2025 season of the show.

The casting notices are listed below.  Please only submit your information if you are local to the Chicagoland area and have the availability needed.  Please see the details of what they are casting for below. Please note that this is only for background actors / extras.

About the show:

The city’s most highly skilled medical team saves lives, while navigating their unique interpersonal relationships. The Gaffney Chicago Medical Center’s elite team of dedicated doctors, nurses and staff face challenges each day as they do what it takes to treat their patients, sometimes in surprisingly inventive ways. As the city’s last line of defense, doctors Charles, Reese, Halstead, Rhodes, Choi, and Manning; nurses Sexton and Lockwood; and hospital administrator Sharon Goodwin embody the heart of Dick Wolf’s triad of Chicago series.

Chicago Med – General Availability

We’re collecting submissions for Episode 11018 of Chicago Med.

FOR GENERAL SUBMISSIONS: PLEASE USE THE GOOGLE FORM, IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. We open every single email submission and manually transfer your info and availability to a spreadsheet, so we strongly encourage you to use the form instead of emailing your submission. If you receive an error message, please try the following troubleshooting tips:

• Clear your cache / cookies (if you use Safari)
• Try using Chrome
• Try using a laptop instead of a phone

This submission form is for general background roles, which means they’re open to any gender, any ethnicity, ages 18 and older WITHIN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA (2 hrs of Chicago). You must have graduated from high school and not be attending classes at the time of submission.

We do have one multi-day / featured booking for an African American male, 9-10 years old, which was posted on Facebook previously (as well as emailed and posted on Instagram).
General background roles pay $132.80/8. The pay rate is a flat rate for any time worked up to 8 hours (it is not an hourly rate), with time + 1/2 after 8 hours. If we book you with your vehicle to be parked on set, there will be a $35 bump added to your pay. No red or white vehicles, please.

– TATTOOS: Please provide photos of ALL tattoos that can be seen in a short sleeve t-shirt. This includes face/neck, arms, and hands/fingers. If you do not have tattoos, state NO TATTOOS. **If you submit via the Google form, we will reach out to obtain your tattoo photos at the time of booking.
-AVAILABLE DATES: Please list all available dates between Thursday 2/5 and Wednesday 2/18. We do not film on weekends (M-F only). Call times are usually early in the morning (unless otherwise noted) and filming days typically last 8-12 hours. Do not submit availability for the day if you have any time constraints.
