CASTING CALL for a SHORT fantasy film – PAID roles- CHICAGO

Indie Film “Shed” – A Short film Drama/Fantasy
PRODUCTION TEAM: Writer/Director – Stephanie Jeter; EP – Lilly Wachowski
Open to union and non-union actors -PAID
SYNOPSIS: A couple’s harmonious relationship begins to unravel when the woman comes home to unexpectedly find a locked shed in her back yard and a husband who won’t tell her what’s inside.
ROLES:
These roles are for actors local to Chicagoland only.
- LAYLA – woman, 30-39, Black: A high-achieving soror type whose curiosity might be getting the best of her.
- RANDALL – man, 30-39, Black, Asian, or Indigenous: An easygoing and sensitive man in the midst of an identity crisis.
- LITTLE BOY – boy, 8-11, Black, Asian, or Indigenous: Newly recovered from a battle with a life-threatening illness he tries his best to present a brave face for his family. (This is a non-speaking role.)
EXPECTED HOURS: TBD
ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION: Transportation reimbursement (capped)
