Project #1: Jazz Fest Performance
Sunday, April 26th
Non-union live performance
Rates for Momma, Big Mama, & Kids: $200/rehearsal & $300/performance (1 day)
Rates for Narrator: $250/rehearsal & $600/performance (1 day)
Agency Fee (if applicable): 15%
Role & Descriptions:
- Narrator – (40s-60s, Male or Female, Black) A grounded, soulful presence. Someone who feels like a storyteller of the community—warm, wise, and emotionally connected. Not performative—this should feel lived-in and real, like someone who has seen life and speaks from it.
- Momma (Cooking) – (40s to 50s, Female, Black) The heart of the home. Nurturing, effortless, and full of quiet strength. This is someone who moves with purpose and love—her presence alone tells a story. Natural, unforced, deeply authentic.
- Big Mama (Elder Woman) – (60s+, Female, Black) A matriarch. Deep roots, deep spirit. Her face carries history, resilience, and warmth. She doesn’t need to say much—her presence speaks volumes.
- Kid Girl – (6 to 10 years old, Female, Black) Curious, expressive, and full of life. Natural energy, not “performing.” We want personality, imagination, and authenticity.
- Kid Boy – (6 to 10 years old, Male, Black) Playful, grounded, and real. Could be observant or full of energy—but always feels honest and uncoached.
Project #2: Music Video (SAG)
Pre-Shoot Dates: Saturday, April 25th or Sunday, April 26th (Dancers only)
Shoot Date: Tuesday, April 28th
Rates vary per the SAG contract
Dancers: $500/12 + $175.00/usage (2 days)
Angelic Black Boy: $350/12 + $175.00/usage (1 day)
Male Model: $500/12 + $175.00/usage (1 day)
Blues Man: $350/12 + $175.00/usage (1 day)
Afro Crew: $300/12 (1 day)
Striking Black Women (Portraits): $300/12 (1 day)
Agency Fee (if applicable): 15%
Role & Descriptions:
- Angelic Black Boy – (6 to 10 years old, Black, Male) Striking, soulful presence. There’s something special about him—calm, magnetic, almost otherworldly without trying. Expressive eyes, natural stillness or curiosity.
- Male Model – (20s to 30s, Black, Male) Handsome, confident, and effortless. Not just a “look”—we want presence. Someone who feels modern, stylish, and grounded in who they are.
- Male lead dancer (20s, Black, Male) Strong musicality and natural rhythm. Movement should feel lived-in, not overly choreographed. Charisma, confidence, and individuality are key.
- Female lead dancer (20s, Black, Female) Expressive, dynamic, and connected to music on a deeper level. Movement can be powerful or subtle—but always intentional and full of feeling.
- Striking Black Women (Portrait) – (20s-30s, Black, Female) Faces that tell a story. Unique beauty, presence, and individuality. We are drawn to women who feel powerful, natural, and effortlessly captivating.
- Afros Crew (Portrait) – (20s to 50s, Black, Men and Women) with bold, beautiful Afros and strong personal style. This group should feel like a visual statement—cool, confident, and culturally rooted.
- Blues Man – (60s+, Black, Male) In the spirit of legends like Son House or Muddy Waters. Weathered, soulful, and deeply expressive. A face that carries history. Authentic, grounded, and powerful without trying.
