Casting Call “Sweet Escape”

Sweet Escape is a video project by experienced student filmmakers. Comprised of 10 made-for-youtube clips of different genres (music video, camera phone clip, movie trailer, etc.) that tell the modern fairy tale story of Angelina, a TV-obsessed girl who escapes from her evil mother who has kept her locked up in their apartment for the first 17 years of her life.
Where: Polaris Lounge, Gordon dorm, North Quad, Brandeis University
When: Wednesday, Sept. 15, 7:30-9:00pm
How: Just show up, no preparation required!
Roles:
Angelina: guileless 17-year-old girl who has never set foot outside of her apartment but is obsessed with the show “America’s Next Best Model”
Evil Mother: the name says it all
Evelyn: Angelina’s real mom (late 30s), the “good witch”
Calvin: unctuous dandy, attempts to rape Angelina
Robert Gold: middle aged, good-looking host of “Here and Now” (60 Minutes-esque program)
Doctor Pierce Ingram: Nobel prize-winning psychologist
Bill: Young, hapless salesman of weight loss products
Goulash Spinoza: host of “America’s Next Best Model,” late 20s, the über hipster
